In Our Home:
Board and Train
If you are going on vacation or do not have the opportunity to train, board your small dog with us and we will do the work. Your dog will be trained in basic commands and manners, creating a solid foundation, while being socialized in our home with our own dogs and family, learning to live in harmony and balance. Follow up sessions included in your home.We take one dog at a time, 30 lbs and under. Call for program details and prices.
In Your Home:
Day Training (daily)
The Confident K-9 will take the burden of the heavy lifting (daily training) off of you. Have your dog trained 4 times a week and join a private session once a week to learn how to reinforce all the good behaviors your dog has learned. Day training is offered on a weekly basis with packages of 3 and six weeks that will give you extra private sessions. All geared to your dog's level.
Coaching-Weekly Private Sessions
Basic and Intermediate Levels (can be held at a park)
Sessions geared towards developing effective communication, teaching pack leadership, and fulfillment. Focus is on the basic safety commands including a watch me cue, sit, heel,stay,down, come, drop it, leave it, off, etc. Specific behavioral issues will be addressed. These sessions are offered in packages 7. They can also be taken one at a time.
Dog Behavior Rehabilitation Sessions
Focus is on developing effective communication through positive, assertive energy, to modify and shape behavior, addressing the cause, developing effective communication, and shaping or modifying behavior to create positive outcomes. These sessions are offered on a one by one basis.
Common issues are:
- separation anxiety
- fear based behaviors
- submissive urination
- destruction
- food or resource guarding
- demanding behaviors
- dominance
- certain types of aggression
Walk n Train
For new and existing clients (offered in Huntington, Lloyd Neck, Centerport, Woodbury, Cold Spring Harbor, Oyster Bay, Brookville, within 12 miles of Huntington) - Hire a trainer to teach or reinforce heeling, sitting at stop, and focus skills while exercising your dogs instead of having your dog "walk the walker" and practice bad habits. For a few dollars more per hour than it would cost for a dog walker, your dog will be practicing manners every time. Minimum 2 times per week, one hour sessions.
Puppy Consultations and Puppy Classes
Start you and your puppy off on the right road, learning all the steps to avoid unacceptable behavior and create a positive bond with the family.
New Baby Program
Prepare your canine baby for the arrival of your new baby! This is an important transition time for the family and should NEVER be overlooked. It should be taken seriously and with care.
This program is offered in one session and can be followed by another session when baby comes if needed.
Introducing Your Dog To A New Dog
This is another critical time in your pup's life and you may need some education and assistance.
